Center Stage: Cupcake Queen

Has anyone else noticed the huge trend in cupcakes lately?!

I mean, I have always been a fan, but it seems like cupcakes are everywhere right now! Maybe it's just in my circle of friends, but cupcake makers are popping up by the dozen! :)

I wanted to take a minute to highlight one in particular for two reasons...
1. I knew this chick was talented, but I didn't know she had an inner cupcake goddess LOL
2. She just started and she is honestly obsessed! In a good way! Every time I turn around she has another reason to make a themed cupcake!

So who is this new Diva of the Decorating world? Its my good friend and design/event partner in crime Jennifer Abplanalp! She and I have been friends since 2003 when I moved to Yuma, AZ and she was my first roommate here!

We have worked together doing MANY decorating and design jobs, even a haunted house... oh lordy... thats a good one. She is the lead female vocalist in our band, heads up part of our service production team, runs one of the leadership schools and with her husband leads a great ministry of people at Destiny Christian Church. She also works a full-time job AND has three kids... so when I see a hard working mom, doing awesome creative things like this, I get excited!!

These patriotic cupcakes were made for our tech team at church by Jen in honor of Memorial Day! I had one and they had raspberry filling... they tasted like sugar cookies :) so yummy!

These floral beauties were made to look like a bouquet of flowers and were given by Jen to all the single mothers in her ministry for Mother's Day... not just a sweet treat but a sweet idea to treat the moms who work so hard!

One of her most recent posts, these rainbow cuties were made by Jen for her daughter's Life Group meeting this week... I know they will be a hit!





And lastly, these chocolate temptations are topped and filled with raspberry! Amazing work Jen! Your next job is to post all your ideas in tutorials so we can all try them! :)
